Time-Lapse Vegetable Growth to Ambient Music with Sonic Bloom Devices

During our stay at home time, I’ve started my old AeroGarden back up. I’m growing Cucumber, Broccoli, and Tomato.

I record a two or three day time-lapse video with a GoPro camera. You can see how alive these plants are as they twist and turn their way out of their tiny seeds. Towards the end of the video you can see the tomato come to life dramatically.

Then I made some ambient music using the following great devices from Sonic Bloom.

Sonic Bloom Array Mbira

Sonic Bloom Array Mbira is a beautiful collection of Instrument Racks. “The mbira is an lamellophone originating in Africa and the traditional instrument of the Shona people in Zimbabwe. It’s also known under the names of thumb piano, kalimba or sanza, and consists of metal tines attached to a wooden board.” The round robin sampling ensures a real-life sound. There are instruments in the Pack that sound very authentic, and others that wander into the experimental. This Pack sounds incredible.

FREE Sonic Bloom ReGenerators

These three MIDI devices allow you to create generative music with just a single note. Add any instrument you want. Then adjust the dials. Sit back. Relax. The music just starts pouring out.

The music for the video contains 3 tracks, each with a different Array Mbira Instrument being controlled by a different ReGenerator MIDI effect. With very little adjusting, I had some peaceful music dancing out of my speakers. I think I could leave it running all day long!
